PRECILEC is a part of the Aircraft
Systems Segment of the Zodiac
Group.
In January 2006, PRECILEC acquires the Electrical Seats and Cabin Systems of Messier-Bugatti. This acquisition
allows PRECILEC to consolidate its activity in the field of
technical actuators for aeronautical and military markets, and
to become a major player in the field of actuators for commercial
aircraft passenger seats.
In July 2003, PRECILEC acquired the assets of LA RADIO-ENERGIE
company, which allowed it to expand its motor product lines
(explosion-proof and high power) and sensors (tacho-generators),
to offer electrical generation products (alternators), to strengthen
its industrial market position and to have a medium-run component
manufacturing centre in Châtellerault.
In April 2001, PRECILEC acquired LPMI, located in Chanteloup
les Vignes (78) and specialized in the design and manufacture
of sensors, motors and actuators in low runs to customer specifications.
This acquisition enables PRECILEC to become a recognized player
in the actuator field and to expand its motor and sensor product
lines, while penetrating new markets (nuclear, business aviation...).
In 1998, when the Lionel Dupont group’s aeronautics
division was sold, PRECILEC joined the INTERTECHNIQUE group,
then in 1999 the ZODIAC group. The head office
was transferred to Auxerre.
Acquired by the Lionel Dupont Group in 1991, PRECILEC
was combined with TELEFLEX SYNERAVIA and expanded its activity
into the aeronautics field.
In 1979, PRECILEC’s electronics department was
strengthened with the addition of a team of micro-computing
specialists to develop a new generation of “tactical situation
tables” for the navy and to integrate the new technologies
into the visualisation product line.
The product line for the military market was expanded
with the development of high-precision resolvers and brushless
DC motors.
In 1965, PRECILEC built an “ultra-modern”
plant in Auxerre.
Beginning in 1960, PRECILEC developed, with the assistance
of the DGA, electronic navigation and visualisation equipment
for the navy and expanded its electromechanical product lines
with DC torque motors.
In 1951, the first decentralization was completed at
the Courtenay site.
Created in 1946 in Paris by Mr. Marcel Musso, PRECILEC
designs, manufactures and markets synchro machines and servomechanisms
for military, naval and aeronautic applications.
